The traditional black color conceals the contents of the bags once they're closed, providing some privacy if they are being placed on the curb for pickup. Twist ties are included to help close the bags securely once they've been filled, helping to prevent annoying spills while you're moving them around. The twist ties also allow you to reopen the bags easier than simply tying the top, so you can close 1 up to prevent dust from escaping and continue filling the bag the next day.
